I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was a hard case for the missionaries when they met with my wife and I. I really wanted to prove them wrong since I didn’t really want to change my life style. I couldn’t and was soon baptized. That was in the early ’70’s.
Since then my testimony has continued to grow in my belief in the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and how well it complements the Old and New Testament. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called by our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to bring the blessings of the restored gospel back to His children. I leave my testimony for you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hello my name is : Brother DAVID A. CAGE, since becoming a member of “THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS” I have come to know, with all truth, understanding, and certainty that this is the one and only “TRUE CHURCH” and “TRUE GOSPEL” upon this earth, through the young PROPHET, JOSEPH SMITH “JESUS CHRIST” restored his CHURCH, and His GOSPEL to this EARTH for the benefit of all mankind, that through PRAYER, BAPTISM, REPENTANCE, and the PLAN OF SALVTION, we may once again live in the “KINGDOM OF HEAVEN” with our “HEAVENLY FATHER.” This CHURCH is lead today by president THOMAS S. MONSON a true living, breathing, PROPHET of GOD, he speaks to us and guides us with the true words of GOD, and as we follow this counsel we are instructed to read the BOOK OF MORMON, and the BIBLE, to learn and to live the GOSPEL of CHRIST so that our lives can and will be enriched, through this GOSPEL of CHRIST so that our lives can and will be enriched, through this GOSPEL I have been changed my life has been changed, I was once a mean spirited, bitter person, never had a reason to smile could never find good in anyone or anything, trouble always seemed to be lurking in my presence, I believe DIVINE INTERVENTION placed me where MISSIONARIES would find me, subsequently they introduced me to the BOOK OF MORMON shared SCRIPTURES began to teach me the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, invited me to CHURCH where I met wonderful people in who I truly witnessed the COUNTENANCE OF GOD, as I continued to attend the CHURCH, I began to feel the SPIRIT inside and all around me, I knew my life would never be the same, aI soon felt the desire to become BAPTIZED and to follow GOD from that day on. I once was a heavy drinker, smoker, and did countless other ungodly and unspeakable things, bu through THE GOSPEL, having FAITH, PRAYER, READING SCRIPURES, keeping COVANANTS, following the word of WISDOM, and BLESSINGS from GOD, I have overcome these problems and addictions,HEAVENLY FATHER has truly BLESSED this once wretched life of mine, I now look forward each and every day to becoming better than I was the day before, to uplifting my fellow-man, to helping the continued growth of the CHURCH , to sustaining the PROPHET, and keeping GODS COMMANDMENTS, and seeking to help everyone receive or obtain his and her right to CELESTIAL GLORY, for as HAVENLY FATHER did appear to the PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH, and say to him this is my BELOVED SON, HEAR HIM, I ask that if you are reading this please HEAR me ALSO for I to am a SON of GOD and the work of spreading this GOSPEL, throughout the world must continue, we as LATTER DAY SAINTS HAVE AN OBLIGATION to restore THE CAUSE OF ZION TO THIS EARTH, I TRUTHFULLY TESTIFY AND VERIFY THIS IS NOT A GOSPEL OF WORDS, THIS IS A GOSPEL OF TRUTH, ACTIONS AND GOOD WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I ponder my testimony of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I realized that it started the day I was born, April 16, 1962. I was born in Canandaigua, NY to a wonderful family who had been baptized a few years before my birth. My parents had been taught by the missionaries and chose to join the church and raise their family in the gospel.
As a child growing up in the gospel, I was very involved in all the church activities. We often visited the Sacred Grove and Hill Camorah. When I turned eight I was baptized in Palmyra NY, became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I went to church every week, I participated in all the activities, I knew all the answers to questions asked. BUT, was my testimony of the church mine or was it from the strength of my parents?
As a teenager I had the typical teenage struggles but because of the closeness and love of my family I made it through.
One Sunday in seminary (which is like Sunday school) , my teacher asked me, “Jean do you have a Testimony of the Church and how do you know?” I stepped back and looked at my life. The path I had taken. I had the free agency to choose my path. I thought of all the teachers who had taught me. I thought of all the church meetings I had attended. I thought of the prophet Joseph Smith who as a young boy in the Sacred Grove saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. How did I Know that happened? I walked through the Grove of trees myself and sat on a log and prayed for the knowledge of truth. A feeling of peace filled my heart and soul. I KNEW! I thought of my family. An eternal family unit. We had been sealed together in the Temple of God. I thought of the scriptures and how as I read them the truth would be felt. A learning of the scriptures guidance for me. But I think that what really hit me when I was pondering my teachers question was the primary song, “I know my father lives”;
I know my father lives and loves me too, the spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true, and tells me it is true. He sent me here to earth by faith to live his plan, the spirit whispers this to me and tells me that I can, and tells me that I can,.
I reported back to my seminary teacher and said “Sister Reed, I know without a doubt that this is the true Church on the earth. Christ’s Church was restored. I know in my heart that Christ lives and has set a path for me to return to Him. If I follow His living prophet, if I read the scriptures, If I pray I know I will return to him. At that moment I knew that the testimony I had was my own, I had gained the knowledge and answers to my prayers.
My teacher asked me that question over thirty three years ago. I am still an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Every week when I go to church my heart swells when I listen to others share their testimonies. I know without a doubt that this church is Christ’s Church on the earth. He is my Savior and has set the pathway for me to follow. I love the testimony that I have and it is something I share every chance I get. It can be shared through a thought or a song or a smile. It is there.
In our lives as we look for what we are searching for, that knowledge and happiness, turn to the lord in prayer. Open your heart and the answers will come
I leave you my testimony of the truthfulness of these things that I shared in the name of Jesus Christ . Amen

I KNOW THAT Joseph smith saw the first vision in the grove, I know that Moroni lead Joseph Smith to the place on the hill to uncover the plates, Thomas S. Monson is our prophet on the face of the earth right on this day. God loves us, He loves us so much that he begot His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and I know if we pray every day that words and thoughts will be answered, maybe not right away but as He wants it to happen. I know if we stay strong in the gospel we can live with are families for ever. I say this in the name of Jesus the Christ. AMEN

There are real, yet unseen, treasures far more precious and desirable than diamonds, rubies or gold. Such is the testimony
I carry within my soul of our Savior and Redeemer, the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints and of our Prophet, Seer and Revelator — President Thomas S. Monson. This knowledge is a light which burns
and brightens within me as I sojourn on my earthly journey. The joyous moments are more joyful; the sorrowful ones
become sweet.
As a young girl, my Mother taught me of Him; his teachings. She planted within my soul the seeds of knowledge —
the understanding of who I am, why I am here and where I am going. She gave me wings so when the time came,
I could fly on my own and share this treasure with others.
Flying, soaring and feeling the divinity within is most desirable, most precious. Mother taught me the windows of Heaven are
open and that, like Joseph Smith, I too can ask Him for knowledge and He will answer me. He knows me; He loves me.
I ask Him; He hears and answers me. I testify He will hear you too.
His voice rings clear and true through President Thomas S. Monson. He provides light to show us the way that we
may again live with our Savior one day.
